GRP DESCRIPTION

GRP is a combination of polyester resin and Glass Fiber. Thanks to the resin properties, GRP is a compost resistant to the chemical products, to the marine environments, to the pass of the time and is suitable for alimentary products and drinking water a contact , etc. Depending on the use of the equipment, TADIPOL uses the most suitable materials such as vinylester, bisphenolic, isophthalic or orthophthalic resins, and these are combined with ERC type for chemical products or E type for other applications

PRODUCTION PROCESS

WINDING

Manufacture of the cylinders for tanks. It is based on rolling Glass Fiber filaments, impregnated with resin, under tension and on a cylindrical mould.

SPRAY UP

Tanks bottom and cover manufacture. It is used a “pneumatic gun” to project Glass Fiber threads and thermostable resin onto an open mould.

HAND LAY UP

It consists on the manufacture of the pieces and the assembly of the equipments parts. The Glass Fiber fabrics are placed manually followed by the resin with brushes and rollers.

PULTRUSION

Automated and continuous production process of GRP profiling permitting to obtain any type of longitudinal profile with a good surface finish.

MATERIAL QUALITIES

The main GRP composite characteristics are its high chemical resistance, high mechanical resistance, lightweight, temperature resistance, low electrical and thermal conductivity, easier to develop complex shapes, etc. These properties make the material to bring great of advantages in front of Traditional materials such as steel. Some of them as: high resistance to chemical corrosion, abrasion or oxidation, and the reduction of maintenance costs. In addition, it increases the life cycle with in relation to the equipments made with traditional materials.
